2026 One and All Cadetship

The One and All Cadetship offers a unique 12-month pathway into the maritime industry, combining accredited training, hands-on experience, and industry-recognised sea time aboard STV One and All.

Designed for people looking to start a career at sea, this program provides the skills, qualifications, and real-world experience needed to pursue employment across a range of maritime sectors.

Eligibility requirements
To apply, you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Be aged 18 years or over
  • Have completed Year 11 with sound literacy and numeracy skills
  • Be available for the Cadetship full 12-month program

What’s included in the 12 month program

  • Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal)
  • Shipboard Safety Skill Set
  • Maritime Radio Operator qualifications
  • Senior First Aid and CPR
  • Working at Heights certification
  • AMSA task book and required sea time

Location
The cadetship is based in Port Adelaide, South Australia, with:

  • Practical training aboard STV One and All
  • Classroom training delivered by the Australian Maritime & Fisheries Academy (AMFA)

Many maritime roles — including ferries, tourism, fishing, and logistics — require formal qualifications and sea time.

The One and All Cadetship provides both a strong and practical entry point into this growing industry.
