2026 One and All Cadetship

The One and All Cadetship offers a unique 12-month pathway into the maritime industry, combining accredited training, hands-on experience, and industry-recognised sea time aboard STV One and All.

Designed for people looking to start a career at sea, this program provides the skills, qualifications, and real-world experience needed to pursue employment across a range of maritime sectors.

Eligibility requirements
To apply, you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Be aged 18 years or over as at 16 August 2026
  • Have completed Year 11 with sound literacy and numeracy skills
  • Be available for the Cadetship Voyage (16–21 August 2026) and the full 12-month program
  • Complete the online application

What’s included in the 12 month program

  • Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal)
  • Shipboard Safety Skill Set
  • Maritime Radio Operator qualifications
  • Senior First Aid and CPR
  • Working at Heights certification
  • AMSA task book and required sea time

Selection process

  1. Stage 1: Up to 24 applicants will be selected to participate in the Cadetship Voyage (16–21 August 2026)
  2. Stage 2: From this group, 6 candidates will be selected for the full 12-month cadetship

Location
The cadetship is based in Port Adelaide, South Australia, with:

  • Practical training aboard STV One and All
  • Classroom training delivered by the Australian Maritime & Fisheries Academy (AMFA)

Funding

The cadetship is fully funded by One and All and key stakeholders supporting maritime career pathways.
